My office has just upgraded to Excel 2010. When I open a new workbook it always automatically shows Property Views ribbon. How can I open without this? My IT dept doesn't know.

Click the round thing at the top left then 'excel options' at the bottom.

Under the 'popular' options select 'Show Developer Tab in the Ribbon' & OK.

Click on the Developer Ribbon.

Click on Document Panel.

At the bottom of the Dialog box that opens you have a check box for Always show Document Information Panel.... Deselect.

There might be a more direct way, but that should do it.

The check box is unchecked but I see that it is set to
Display by default: Standard and SharePoint library properties

That might be the problem. I'll work on it.

Right Click above the Ribbon (along where you see Home, Insert...) and click "Minimize the Ribbon"

Disregard my last message. I should have looked at the linked file first.

You may wish to look under Excel Options, Advanced, Service Options...
There's some items about Document Magement Settings there as well

Zelgar. Under "Options, Advanced" I don't see Service Options.
Maybe it's not in Excel 2010.
