Excel Question - Spread Footing Design Chart

I am working through my first spread footing design and have prepared a spread footing design chart, which plots the strength limit state curve and various settlement curves on a graph (factored net bearing resistance against footing width). The beauty of this graph is that to the left of the strength limit state controls left of the strength limit state line and the service limit state controls to the right of it. I have seen these charts in various textbooks and they only show the settlement curves in the region where the service limit state controls.

I'd like to add this graph to my geotechnical report. I cannot figure out how to only show the settlement curves to the right of the strength limit state line. Is there a way to tell excel to only plot a series to the right of an intersection with another line?

Change the range of the 'source data' such that it will show only the portion you would like to present.

Thanks for the input Jalthi. This is a straightforwad, but effective method.

I should clarify that I was hoping for a "cleaner" solution...if anyone knows of one.

It is a decade I made things in excel but maybe you may rework your dataset wanted plotted to only contain the values to the right side of the limit line; a comparison with the corresponding limit value would exterminate the nonwanted values from the data set, then plot. May work or not...

Can you advise of the soil strata encountered? Borehole log? Just interested. Compared to Bowles - you should have a SPT value in the order of a bit less than 40.

The soil layering is:
Embankment Fill SM - 74
Tephra SM - 24
Fine Alluvium SM - 40
Flow Breccia GM - 53

Pretty consistant with your prediction.
