Hello everyone
I'm trying to model the progressive failure of steel lattice tower under dynamic load using ABAQUS EXPLICIT
The job is always aborted with an error (Unknown global id: -364
Excessive rotation of nodes in node set ErrNodeExcessRotation-Step4)
I'm using beam elements B31 for tower members and truss elements T3D2 for guys with elastic plastic material

What could be the solution of this error?
Thanks

Start from identifying the node set mentioned in the error message and see how this part of your model behaves right before the analysis fails. Also double check the interactions between parts.

There is nothing abnormal with the node identified with excessive rotation before the analysis fails
The whole model is supposed to fail to the ground under its own weight[/color]

Can you share some pictures showing this model and results from the last frame in odb ? Which interactions do you use apart from general contact (I assume you have this one defined) ?

Here is the last frame with unrealistic results
I use only general contact
