I have a cylinder body in which I projected a sketch profile onto it. How can I get the projected curve to extrude (subtract) into the cylinder body and maintain the projected profile?
There is already a thread concerning this problem; however, I would like to know how to extrude the projected sketch in a way such that the newly created face of the extrusion is on a cylindrical path.
For further clarification: The extrusion would create a curved path which has an area that is the same as the area of the original projected sketch.
I have attached a very rough illustration, so please take a look if anything above is unclear.
Thank You.
