When I am using the face analysis to check my tapers I find a lot of my faces/surfaces are backwards and I end up selecting them one by one to reverse them. Is there away to make sure when I am modelling them to make sure they are facing the right up or when I have finished and come to check this a way to select the backwards faces all at once to reverse them. I have attached a jpeg showing this.

Thank you for your help.

Regards Daniel Lamb.

If the faces are all from the same body then they should all 'face' in the same direction, and if it's a solid body, they should all 'face' outward. Now if they're separate sheet bodies not sewn together, then yes, they could have inconsistent face normals. In that case there is a function called 'Reverse Normal' that can be used to reverse the 'face' direction of individual sheet bodies. Just enter 'Reverse Normal' in the Command Finder to use this function.

Daniel, i don't follow you,
You are actively reversing surface normals ? Is this because of the face analysis or is it because of ... ?

If you would sew separate sheets together, they will get a consistent normal. ( i think dictated by the target sheet)

There is no image attached.
