Failed to create new Excel workbook

Hello Forum,
I have searched the Forum to help me at an problem with NX5.

When I try to open an Spreasheet I became the Error: "Failed to create new Excel workbook".

The log:

&MACRO CUSTOM 25 ANT * POPUP * 0 * UG_ANT_EXPORT_TO_SPREADSHEET !
Excel 1 is installed on this machine
ERROR: starting excel failed with code 80040154
&MACRO FOCUS CHANGE IN 1
&MACRO MESSAGE_BOX -2, Failed to create new Excel workbook

On the machine is NX564bit MP6, WindwosXP64bit and Office 2007 32bit installed.

A reinstall of NX and Office I have already done. Also the registry keys are similar with an other Workstation where are no problems.

Now, I have this not installed.
How I have to install the AddIn?
I have only in Excel over the AddIn Mangager the ug.xla added.
Is there other settings that I must set?

I have had a similar error before, but it only happend if I had excel already open. If I launched excel out of NX it worked.

Not sure if it will help, but also try un-checking the UG add-in from Excel, and then re-try.

Hi,

do you have a GTAC WebKey account? You might have better luck looking on there. It's difficult to assess the problem when we are only provided a snippet of your NX log file. Have you tried it on a different computer (if you can)?

Hi,
no, the problem still exists.
One tip from Siemens PLM Software Support was to check if the (in german called: "Gemeinsam genutzte Office-Features") "office shared features" is installed. For me this is installed and resolved not the problem.

Also the Siemens PLM Software Support can#t help. :-(

I've done some googling on the error number here:

ERROR: starting excel failed with code 80040154

It could be that the Excel interop DLL has not been registered, or does not exist. In addition, its also possible that the Excel interop DLL requires others which have not been installed on your system. Are the Office 2007 PIAs (Primary Interop Assemblies) installed on your system?
