Hello friends,

I am looking for a materials about 3d modelling steel halls using the FEM method. I mean especially about publications available on-line. The best would be a practical examples.

Thank in advance for any answers :).

What are "steel halls"? Do you mean steel balls?

Either way you will most likely get more help if you provide specifics about you application or the specific applications that you are interested in analyzing. Also describe what result types are you looking for (i.e. contact stresses).

I work on Robot Structural Analysis PRO. But not matter what software it will be. I need practical tips about modelling halls (mainly portal frames). I make static, dynamic and buckling analysis regarding entire hall to find internal forces needed to dimensioning.

Hi

As you describe it there should be examples in the dokumentation. Didn't you get some tutorials when you bought the software?

I have in mind more general informations, such as what kind of FE is better to use to modelling, e.g. , wind bracing or how to take into account restraints of trapezoidal sheeting whilst modelling construction ?
