Hi Everybody!

I would like to make a non linear analysis whith FEMAP/NX Nastran which contains the following material definition:
- Temperature dependent Young modulus
- Temperature dependent Stress-strain curve
- Temperature dependent conductivity
- Temperature dependent Poisson number

I have tried to find examples etc. on the internet, but up to now I could not find.

What I can do at this moment: Temperature dependent linear analysis. The plastic effect does not work. Could somebody create/send a very simple FEMAP model just for demonstration how I should define such a task? (Or show me a site where I can find/download an example?)

Thank you!

BR,

Irwin

Dear Irwin,
Please give us more information of the error you have. I suggest to define a "pilot study" with a simply model and post here.
Best regards,
Blas.

Dear Blas,

I have no error. I have no idea how I could define any temperature dependent non linear material in FEMaP for transient simulation.

I would like to analysis a structure where I have stres-strain curves on different temperature level and temperature and force load which gives us plastic deformation.

What I have:
Non linear temperature dependent properties for the material, like: Young modulus, expansion coeff., conductivity, stress strain curve on different level.
I have temperature load + force loads. (These are over the linear range.)

I need some info where I have to define and what? I have found just simple non linear steady state analysis and nothing else for more complex situations.

Irwin

Hello Blas,

After several trying some errors what I can not change:
User Warning Message 4675. User fatal message 4676. (I think these are coming from the same issue.)
I hade one simulation where I had got results. From this analysis I have made just one modification, a constant temperature field was defined with 20 deg and this was increased to 200. Nothing else was modified. I have tried to decrease the time increment, but I have no chance to get any result.

Hallo!

Just for clarification:

Basically my target is that:

with temperature dependent material definition.

What and where should I write in FEMAP to get such results in sol106?

The best would be a FEMAP example file.
