Hi,

We are plagued by bacteria/bugs in our MDO.
Who has seen good results using magnetfilters, and then, which brand/type?
We tried chemicals, but after a while they just came back.
Thanks in advance,

There are very effective biocides on the market for control of biofouling in hydrocarbon fuels, but require periodic dosing to accomodate replenshed fuel in storage. Have you done this?

Hi Orenda,

I tried this indeed, but as you say, one need to dose this periodically. I heard about these filters, and there is no need for periodic maintenance with these. That is wat appeals to me.
But then, if this is no go: What is the best biocide in the market nowadays?

Thanks,

Although I've been away from this issue for a while, the most effective biocide I recall in use for this application was (is) Biobor. Sorry I can't give you a manufacturer....try a Google search.

I would suggest you maybe speak to one of the classification society fuel services, such as Lloyd's Register FOBAS for some fuel handling advice...they may be able to help you with your problems... Al
