fitting measurment data to known distirbutions

hi all
I am doing some data measurments ( indoor propagation measurments ) and then I want to try to fit them to some know distirbtuions Rice , rayleigh , the power measurments are distance dependent , I read about the rayleigh and rice distribtuions , how can I relate distance as an input and power as an output to the rayliegh and rice distribtuions , I dont have any idea about this curve fitting thing

we are a new established wireless company in iraq , we are asked to do some measurments indoor to establish a wireless system inside new built hospitals , we need to see the physical represntaion of data to give recomdations about AP for a wireless systems and to try to avoid EMI with medical equipment
