hi to all,
iam modelling a body, which is an assembly of two parts, each with a different material.
how can i define the two parts to be fixed with each other,i dont want to define contact since they have complex geometry.
i want the two bodies under any load to be fixed together.
any idea?
thanks
one more question, does any person have tutorials for making bending tests in abaqus

I believe what you are looking for is a tied constraint. This is basically glued contact so it might not fit your bill. Hope this helps.

as Rstupplebeen said, using tie contact is like glue them together. however, the local results near the contact may be less accurate. but results away from the contact will be perfetly fine.
If you requires to study the results close to the tie contact. it is advice to model them as a single part, then partition it. you can apply different material on each of the partition.
