Trying to get some friction drag data, but not sure of the best way to suspend the plate in the flow. Any supporting rig will distort data....

- can the supporting rig be tested separately and then subtracted out? Flow field will be different with and without plate installed; and

- what is best way to support?

Thank you for your input.

How about a long spike, projecting upstream parallel to the flow? Mount the downstream end to a faired support. I've seen it in plenty of photographs, although I haven't run a wind tunnel since my college days.
