C.3.3.3: Deck plates shall be joined by continuous full-fillet welds on the top side. On the bottom side, where flexure
can be anticipated adjacent to girders, support legs, or other relatively rigid members, full-fillet welds not less than
50 mm (2 in.) long on 250 mm (10 in.) centers shall be used on any plate laps that occur within 300 mm (12 in.) of any
such members. A minimum of three fillet welds shall be made..
