Flow (Q) gpm = 25 x cross sect.area(A)sq ins x 0.6 x sq rt diff head(ft). This will give you a close enough result for practical purposes

Thanks Chief.
curious - what's the 0.6?
bushing width?
regards

The 0.6 is a constant K, depending on the width and shape of the orifice /throat.In this case I surmise the throat is a simple drilled thru' opening.

The flow coefficient K, can have a range of .5 to .85 depending on the hole geometry. However 0.6 is a good guess.

Flow coefficient K, can actually have wide range. But 0.65 is a good guess for a sharp hole flow restrictor. It is determined impirically.
