Hello All
I have floating head heat exchanger, my question is about split ring connection
Floating head is acc. to TEMA STYLE "B"
Design is based on TEMA, but it is no reqiurement
Usually split ring connector I saw as partial ring with 4 threaded holes, see sketch.
My question are (see sketch):
- is it a popular solution ?
- stud bolts going through split ring connector have one nut only ?
- are any recommendation for material of split ring connector, I prefer S235JR, P235 or P265GH (tubesheet, split ring, flange are in P265GH, stud bolts C45E)
By the way: split ring it TEMA = floating head backing device ?
In TEMA RCB-5.141, Y= from code fig. 2-7.1 using K=A/B - I can't find it (fig. 2-7.1) in ASME VIII div 1, do you know where is it ?
Thanks in advance
