Fouling in chlor-alkali plants

Hi, mates:
Have anyone any experience about chlorobenzenes fouling in chlor-alkali plants?
This used to be a problem when using graphite anodes, especially with hexachlorobenzene, but it seems not to be a common issue nowadays. But we are not using graphite anodes here and have some of these symptoms, clogging filters in the drying chlorine area. The material was analyzed, and a mixture of chlorobenzenes was found, mainly the mentioned hexachlorobenzene.
Did anyone have a similar experience? Suggestions?

My experience has been in the chlorine side of plant. The valves had been known to foul with "chlorine butter" . These were changed to a globe style valve in place of the plug valves which would lock up.
The graphite rods probably have a resin binder in the matrix. I had not thought of it before, but that might be the source of hydrocarbon for making hexachlorobenzene. A different source of graphite rod might reduce resin content. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
