Correction Factor for :
1) Pinion and Gear ( either +ve Correction / - ve Correction )
2) Fixed Centre Distance to Calculated Centre Distance

It sounds as though you might want to calculate the center distance of a pair of gears, given the addendum modification factor of each, and of course the numbers of teeth and DP, or module. This problem has a unique solution - which I will provide if you give me a while. The other thing you might want to do is, given a center distance, numbers of teeth and DP or module, find the addendum modification coefficients for the gears. There are an infinite number of solutions for this. There are recommended ways of distributing the addendum modifications between the gears, or you can pick one for one gear and figure out what the factor for the other one needs to be. You also need to define the required backlash in both of the above possibilities. So you need to clarify what you want to do exactly - maybe you want to do something else.

For Calculating Gear Correction there are No of Manuals and Books available , What I want is there any Excell Sheet or Application Programme is available for quickly calculating the Correction gear parameters such as Outside Dia,Root Dia , Modified Addendum & Dedendum, etc.

There are many available programs for calculating gear geometry. You probably know this. It depends on how much you want to pay. For example - UTS sell one. I have a free one I got from Ray Drago many years ago - its an old DOS program which he wrote to go with his gear course. I don't personally know of any existing Excel spread sheet programs - but maybe someone else does. I think you could only do relatively simple calculations that way. Bear in mind that calculating gear geometrical data often requires an iterative routine - such as that required to calculate the inverse involute function. Also, precise solutions involving backlash require additional iteration. So a simple Excel spread sheet might be difficult to write - although I've been wrong before and I can't claim to be a master of Excel. You could certainly do it with TK Solver - I'm sure it's been done by a bunch of people. TK solver is owned by UTS. Jack Marathe is the president, and usually knows who has written good applications for it. Sorry I haven't been much help.

By the way, I've just noticed the way you are spelling center (as "centre") - which means you must be a Brit. So my US references may not mean much to you. Once again - sorry.

Thanks "US EnglishMuffin " for your Complementary answers.

Mike Bull posted that he had an
excell spread sheet which basically
did what you want. Have not seen
him respond for awhile. It was for
module gears. I had them at work,
but have since retired.

Have given you a star diamondjim. Are these free? Looks like they probably use macros written in Basic or something like that.

Mike Bull e-mailed them to me
at work and I am certain he would
be glad to do the same for you.
Yes, they were free!

Hi , DiamondJim
It is really worthy and thanks lot.

we are i the process of making a small software for gear calculations in excel will share it with you when it is ready
