How can I get my inspection requirements for DIN 5480 N74x2x30x36xG7? Tells me the dM=3.5 but I cannot find the module for this in the specs.

Any help?? How Can I find the inspection requirements / nominal dimensions (root diameter, etc.)

#1 do you have a drawing
#2 is this spec on the drawing.
#4 the major and minor diameter should be specified on the drawin if this is an external spline data given should be max effective size, and the minimum actual circular tooth size.

If non of this data is on the drawing contact your customer.ask to correspondence with the customers Engineer. Unfortunately I don't have this specification. But have the customer specify the correct specification. It should be on the drawing.

Mfgenggear:

#1: I have a drawing but the gear / spline data is not on drawing.
#2: the spec is on the drawing as a note listed as a general note. (GEAR DATA: - Spline Data V1 DIN 5480 N74x2x30x36xG7 / dM=3.5, M=66.7186-66.766)
#3: Spec can be located online here: chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/
Im just not sure how to read DIN 5480 and locate the module for dM=3.5

Contact Gear Engineer at Ash gear, Ash gear us a supplier for gear and spline cutters.
Scott is very good. He can help you.
And sell you the correct cutter.
Look at the examples given
N74x2x30x36xG7
74 = 74 mm ref Dia
2 = 2 module
30 = 30 teeth
G7 is I think incorrect, discuss with customer.
Contact Ash gear for further help.

Spigor!

Thank you for this! :)

Are you able to give me the formula used for to be able to calculate that? So going forward I will be able to.

thank you again so much!

You have got all the formulas in that doc you posted on pages 13, 14, 17-19, 23-24. The data for measurement between pins are in Part 2 of the standard.
