Does anyone have a good design method for using geogrids reinforcement for embankments oversoft foundations?

Geogrids over soft soils to construct an embankment can be very difficult. An alternative solution may be to use a lightweight foam concrete material to construct the embankment. This material is self supporting and generally has unit weights (strengths) of 25 to 40 pcf (40 to 100 psi), which can easily be supported by the soft soils. The cost of the lightweight foam concrete is competitive with normal weight backfill. Many highway departments are using lightweight foam concrete for constructing embankments over soft soils.

Geogrid is not suitable. rather geotextiles are good.
US corps of Engineers has a well documented tech. manual named"Engineering use of geotextiles" .Army TM 5-818-8
That's air force afjman32-1030. You will find more about other uses of geotextiles too.
