Hey,

I was just curious how to add geometric tollerances to holes when modeling a part in WF3. I know how to insert them when doing the detail drawing, but was wondering how to add them while modeling the part, that way they will be linked to the actual part and not just as a note in the drawing.

Cheers,

Jake

The way I usually use geometric tolerances is to add them in the drawing to shown dimensions/datums/etc.

You can also add them as an annotation - be sure to attach them to something if you want them to show up on screen.

You can create them in the drawing but still make them part of the model. I find this to be the best method as when I create them in the model I have a hard time getting them to display exactly where and how I want in the drawing.

To create on in the model go to edit/setup/geom tol.
