Hello, I am designing a connection between a 5.5"x16" glulam beam and the top of a concrete wall. I have attached a potential connection detail where a steel bucket is attached to the wall face with screw anchors. The beam is skewed 35 degrees, supports a snow load of 14 kips and lateral wind load of 1.75 kip.

I have checked the beam for bearing, and the wall screw anchors for gravity plus a moment applied by the beam bearing being offset from the wall several inches. Am I missing anything?

Thanks for your responses.

If you have an axial load in the beam I'd want to add another bolt with a vertical slotted hole.

I agree, I'll add another bolt. Thanks!
