Hi,

I'm trying to put together a list of ASME Y14... standards that would be good to have on site.
I know there's a lot of them but there's only certain ones that are really applicable, since some of the other ones override company practices.

- ASME Y14.1 - Engineering Drawing Practices
- ASME Y14.24 - Types and Applications of Engineering Drawings
- ASME Y14.41 - Digital Product Definition Data Practices (standard for supplying 3D models)
- ASME Y14.5 - Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- ASME Y14.8 - Casting, Forgings, and Molded Parts

These are all really good, but I can't seem to remember the ASME Y14?? standard for inspection setups, in accordance with the Y14.5?
This would be one of the most important ones, I think, and I thought they were working on one a few year back.

Q: Does this exist and, if so, what is the ASME number?

Thanks,

Regards,

You are probably looking for Y14.43 - 2011 Dimensioning and Tolerancing Principles for Gages and Fixtures.

If you want to have ALL of them, start with Y14.100 - 2013 Engineering Drawing Practices. It will have list that looks somehow like this:

Perfect, that's the one - Thank you!

SMO,

Those trailing zeros are are meaningful... ASME Y14.1 is actually "Decimal Inch Drawing Sheet Size and Format".

What does your company do?
