I am trying to dimension the depth of threads on a threaded hole (threads are turned on in the view), however the dim keeps coming up grey. The entire dwg is up to date, so I'm a bit stumped.

Anyone know why this is happening?

Thanks!

Hi Wolfgrrl (is that a typo?)
Are you using the Thread dimension function? If so, have you checked Tools-Options-Drafting-Dimension tab page?

On this location there is a facility to define colours for dimensions e.g. Fake; Not up to date; etc.

The default colour for dimensions created using this function is light green (dimensions from 3D), perhaps the colour has been changed to grey?

Along the bottom of the screen in Drafting is a Thread Analysis function, if deselected your dimension will turn black. This will also determine if the Tools-Options setting is the reason.

Failing that could you post a picture?
