For an existing building, I am adding a beam bearing to a all. Im wanting to grout the cells around the bearing, and add a weld plate. Should i be calling out the grouting method, or leave it up to the contractor?

Its an interior wall, at 2 corners, so the wall braced 2 directions.

No need to call out the method, just be clear what you want. Normally, this means grouting three courses vertically (2') and a 2' width. Or you could have the contractor grout the CMU solid full height.

Talk with a qualified local mason contractor. If you are using masonry grout (which is very fluid) it could end up filling all the block cells in the wall.
