Hand operated vacuum pump 1

At the attachment is a image of a hand operated vacuum pump named
"Komovskiy vacuum pump" , do any member ever see or use this kind of pum?

I want to know what is the max vacuum it can achieve.

By te way , do you know where can I see some details as it is make.

I can not get any , I have been searching all day long.

I think someone is "pulling your leg"...the handle will allow the shaft to turn less than one revolution.

Speaking of "turning a pump backward". When I was in high school, I needed a "hand opeated vacuum pump". I took a tire pump, turned the packing upside down and it worked great. I dont know the vacuum pressure I was able to develope, but I was able to distill gasolene at room temperature.

Pump won't turn, but it will probably fit in the box better.

The handle it is only that way , for packagin pourpouse.
