Working on a project in Canada. Client preferred to use HDPE DR9. Contractor is saying that pipe has too thick of a wall thickness to fit into the butterfly valves. They are suggesting to transition from HDPE to carbon steel pipe up to/after the valve and then transition back to HDPE. They would apply an epoxy from a 3rd party company to make the pipe more friendly to be buried. I have not seen or heard of this before.
