What is the equation that I can use to calulate the headloss over a sharp created finger weir? These weirs are loacted at the end of a sedimentation tank. There six of them per tank. Can I simply use a sharp crested weir formula on a single finger weir (The length will be the total length of the weir plate), although, as I understand, the sharp crested weir is developed for straight weir plate. The length will be the total length of the weir plate?

Or is there a separate formula that has been developed for finger weir alone.

Thanks in advance
