Dacro coating does not always contain hexavalent chromium.

The method of converting is simple. Use trivalent starting materials instead of hexavalent starting materials.

Geomet is hexavalent chromium free, so it is a natural choice. Magni and D[ö]rken offer competing coatings with equal performance.
