My answer is “with pencil, paper, a few good references, and a calculator/slide rule”.

Latexman: seems he doesn't have pencil / paper / references / or sufficient fingers for calculating.

It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)

Shucks!! the absurd thread (linked above) was removed. It was a picture of some wires entering a broken generator casing and the guy's entire question was, "Help me fix this generator". No other text.

Considering you were able to only elaborate a question up to " how to design header size for water pipes lines", my answer will be "With difficulty."
