Hi,
For a drilling application I am in need for a pump that can handle the following:
- 250 bar discharge
- 50 - 100 L/min
- Fluid: water and/or bentonite or cement

I have been looking around on the internet but I cannot figure out what would be the ideal type of pump: Piston?

Are you sure about your numbers? That converts to roughly 100,000 psi at 25- 50 gpm if I do my math correctly. I am a water well drill and am unaware of anything that requires that much pressure. Anyway try Sunmachinery.com

There is also pumps by Gaso and Wheatley but I do not have a website.

Are you sure :0

250 bar = 3626 PSI
100 l/m = 22 IGPM or 26.4 USGPM

@Thewellguy: Yes I am sure about the pressure. This is for a tunneling application in the mountains where we will have quite some waterpressure.

You should use a reciprocating piston pump. There is really no other viable choice for this application at those pressures. You should consider a piston pump with a liner wash system (recirculated water or glycol mixture sprayed on the back, or atmospheric, side of the piston) for optimal durability of the piston and liner. The pump should also be fitted with special, abrasion resistant valves that have a ureathane insert.

As mentioned above, Gardner-Denver does offer mud pumps, but they typically supply much larger pumps than this applciation requires and suspect you might end up paying a premium or getting more pump than you really need. You might try Weatherford out of Houston.

Try Halliburton or BJ SERVICES i'm pretty sure they can help you out.

If you're in europe my company can help

Good Luck
