Hi, has anyone come across a specification for hook bolts, also called J-bolts that connect rail to beam.
For items such as tensioning requirements, ductility tests, installation procedure, etc.

Was hoping for anything really.

These are the AREMA requirements for track bolts. You can also check ASTM A183, which is the spec for track bolts, or call a bolt manufacturer because hook bolts can be manufactured to a variety of specifications.

AISC Design Guide 7 has some information. Attachment of the rail is typically left to the crane manufacturer and their crew installs the rail and the crane.

Great, thanks for this.

If this is a crane rail with any significant amount of use, consider the line of Gantrex products.

J-bolts are no longer recommended for many (most) applications.

The first image is of a vignole rail, which are not first choice for crane rails.
If this is for transport of any kind, hook bolts are no longer recommended because of the dynamic loads and subsequent (lateral) displacement.

I second the Gantrex recommendation.
