The contractor has hot-bent some N28 rebar that was epoxy-doweled into some new construction. N is 500+ MPa reinforcement. I know a little about the material properties of 300 MPa steels but not this.

The structure is subject to heavy fatigue loading (limiting factor) but only a low percentage of yield strength required. Is there a sensible way to determine the likely loss of strength of the epoxy? Proof loading will check ultimate but are there likely to be any fatigue issues with the bonding?

It turns out that the reinforcement was heated and bent prior to epoxy fixing, so the issue of epoxy degradation and testing doesn't exist.

Now to find out about the fatigue characteristics of heated and bent 500 MPa rebar...
