I posted this over the FEA side of this forum but i am posting her also in case people dont notice it there since i dont see a lot of activity for CATIA GSA there

I have already meshed the cylinder walls and flange grooves of an engine block with a finer, split to triangles mesh and now i want to mesh the rest of the block.Unavoidably i have to choose the part body of the cylinder block to choose all block surfaces but this selects also the premeshed surfaces of the cylinder walls and flange groove. How can I avoid this

In R19 there was a Boundary simplifications icon that let you deselect the unwanted surfaces before meshing - cant find it in R20 - any ideas?

(Having selected the advanced mesh icon that is ,if useful for anybody else here)

when you 'advance' mesh the bloc you can remove face during parametrization, so it will be compatible with previous mesh. Make sure the node are condensed between you bloc mesh and other surfaces.

When all 2D meshes are done you can tet fill...
