Hi All,

I am developing flexible hoses and I need to control the length of the centreline as a parameter.

I currently use a BRIDGE CURVE which is linked to the end fittings which are components in an assembly.

If I want to have control over the length can anyone suggest how I could control the BRIDGE CURVE parametrically?

Best Regards

Dave

Hi

You can control the BRIDGE CURVE creating ref lines in a sketch, creatin the sketch in the components and just link the ref lines using "Assemblies - WAVE Geometry Linker and then select the icon "curve" an select the ref lines that you created on your sketch.

Hi Locochava

Sorry I did not make myself clear.

What you are describing is what I am already doing re: wave geometry linker, sketching and such.

What I am trying to establish is can I actually control the length of the associative bridge curve to maintain a specific length through a parameter of some sort, somwhow?

I realise the length would be a little dependant on the position of the linked components that the sketch is associated to. However I am trying to determine if you can control the length of this bridge curve parametrically?

Any ideas?, thanks.

Hi cowski,

I am presently using NX2 and there is no chance of upgrading to NX3 for some time yet.

Ok

sorry

I don't think you can not control a Bridge Curve with parameter because it's a Spline.
