Bowl_textured_bvcxo2.jpg

My first thoughts:

High Energy hydroforming or Hydroforming, but making the inquiry, I received:

- Texture to fine...
- Cannot be demolded.... (outside has deboss/ inside emboss)

Does anyone a suggestion?

Thanks already,

Chris

No one can tell you much unless you provide some dimensions and a target material.

Sorry about that ;)

Dimensions are approximately 300mm diameter/ 75mm Height.
The granulation pattern (emboss) on the inside is about 2,5mm in diameter. Deboss on the outside.
Wallthickness +-1,5mm.
Made out of steel, epoxy powdercoating finishing.

Actually, it is kitchenware, not a wok, but a salad bowl.

Hope this can help to solve the puzzle ;)

Emboss flat, cut blanks, stamp with the plug having a urethane jacket to not damage the embossing.
Is the outer edge actually coated? Or did they precoat the sheet and leave that edge raw?
If the edge is coated they may have coated the circular blanks before forming.

Hi Ed,

thanks, based on your reply, I believe it is the correct anwser:

- Emboss Flat
- Stamp with rubber pad / rubber Jacket on the plug >>

- Cut blanks
- Powder coating (Actually, there is a little tag mounted through the bowl's wall. The hole is used as suspension point when powder coating.)

Thanks again!

Chris

IRS, I am sure that the sheet is roll embossed prior to forming.
