Hi
i am a user of nx 8.5, and new to motion simulation. i had one large assembly where i want to use motion simulation, but after applying all the links and joint my parts not rotate properly. for example i need part as pic attached. but i don`t get the actual motion like that. i don`t know where the actual problem is? i am also attaching step file for reference , if any one knows pls make a motion or tell me the exact step which is used for that motion. also pls let me know how to stop gear on 90 degree rotation.

Images below.

Now the problem is if u see he second imagewhen my cam touched the pivot , the lock plate will rotate by 10 degree, but in motion simulation i am not able to maintain that relation between these two .

There are no files attached.

The best method of setting up or defining complex mechanisms is to test-solve-run the mechanism every few links/ joints added.
I have seen wonderful examples of complex mechanisms with very many joints and links, which did not solve.
what we then did was delete maybe 50% of the links/joints ( not the components) and try solve again , repeat until it solves.
Then re-create the links/joints , test solve step by step until it again locks up.

Tomas
