I want to simulate a blend out in a delimited area in my solid in CATIA. How can I create this area and reduce the thickness only in this area and nowhere else?

Any help is much appreciated.

create a surface in GSD workbench and cut it away from your solid

And how do I make this cut from the solid? I created the surface and went to the Part Design and tried to use the tool 'Remove Face'..but the surface couldn't be selected. What am I doing wrong?

In Solid workbench, there is a tab for surface-based-features...
first one is Split (splits your entire solid body with the surface), another one you may want to explore is the Sew Surface

No success here, LWolf.

It sounds like an easy task, but I am not have success in doing it: draw a shape, make a surface of this shape, associate this shape to the solid and modify the thickness on this shape area (in my case reduce the thickness of the solid in that specific area).

How can it be done?

I found the solution!

Make a sketch with the specific shape you need.
Go to the Mechanical Design workbench and click in Part Design
there you choose Pocket.

et voila' !

Try making a new body and the generate a solid using the cut surface and the thick surf command in part design. Then make your main body active and do a boolean subtract using the other body.
