How to create Cross sectional area curve along a given path?

Is there a way to create Cross sectional area curve along a given path (defined by a curve)?

The space-finder tool gives a Height vs Volume relation curve.
Just like that, I like to draw a cross-sectional area curve along the given path. Is there any work around to do it automatically instead manually creating planes, then slicing and then measuring the face?

If you go Menu- Analysis - Section inertia, i think , that you might find what you look for.
- there is a sub-option along curve.
