Hello,
I have been stuck with a problem in CATIA.[cyclops] I want to know how to recognize/extract/identify the features out of dumb solid of which no history is available.[ponder]
I want to do this in CATIA V5R2012
Also would be beneficial if it can be done through CATIA CAA V5.[bigsmile]

Can the same thing be done through coding in CATIA CAA?[pc3]
I want to know the interfaces and frameworks used to do so.[pc2]

i used to say "there are no stupid question, only stupid answers"

the answer to your question is : Yes.

Good luck, and keep working on it, you will be rich when it's done as many are waiting for this magic function.

it's my job, have you tried 3d Experience yet? is it better then the old one, how did the ui feel like (or new capabilities...)

too bad that v5 (probably) won't get the new UI, the old one feels really old compared to other 3d modellers. i still remember that it was like that in v5r14 when i first used it at the college :)
v5 probably won't be going anywhere for a number of years, so the biggest benefit will be for NX and Creo, as some companies don't want the overhead of enovia.
