When you copy (Ctrl+C) an image in Windows and paste it (Ctrl+V) in AutoCAD you get an image inserted in your file, not an external reference, but an OLE object. When I open this file in DraftShight I can see the image and the properties menu says it is an "OLE (1)" type object but I don't know how to insert this kind of object in DraftSight directly, the Ctrl+V method doesn't work. Any idea?

Thanks

If you are looking to insert an image, not just a link, you can use Reference Image on the Insert Menu. It inserts Image (1). An OLE object is inserted as Object on the Insert Menu. Sylvia

Thank you felix7502, I wanted to insert the image as Object. Now I know how to do it, but, sadly, it's more complicated than in AutoCAD and It also doesn't respect the aspect ratio of the original image.

Thanks for your help.

In the Properties Manager there is a Lock aspect ratio, also a Scale.

Yes, I know, but I've to do it manually every time.

Thanks again.
