I know this is non-traditional but our item callouts are just the number with a leader, no circle or anything. When creating our new template (We used to do everything manually) i've tried to make it so the auto-balloon feature, or just the normal balloon feature would generate only the item number from our parts list, I cannot seem to make this happen, my only theory to get this to work is modify the symbols inside of nx, but if i'm able to avoid doing that much research(if it would even be possible) that would be preferable.

Thanks

You can set the ballons to present any attribute, ( I do not remember the exact syntax for this )
or select "part name" from the settings dialog.
to skip the ballon, you should be able to use the "underline" option. ( then some fiddling with the length of that line to make it look as intended.

Tomas

The more you know about a subject, the more you know how little you know about that subject.

I tried to use the underline option but no matter what the text will always be above the line, I need the leader to end at the side of the text, not below it.

In the new NX 2306, this option is now available. There is a new callout called no symbol. We had used the underline option for years. So this is our standard, so this option is a little bit too late for us.
