Hi there,

I'am creating a 24" device starting from an already existing 12"
I did a clone assembly for that but forgot some drawings.

I'am now mixing files and replace component, everything is fine until this.

I'am having a drawing file with 2 models (Master model concept) :
- 1 sheet for the welding definition and position of the different pieces using part A
- 1 sheet for the machining operations after welding using part B

I'am able to "replace component" B. Icon is like a normal component.

I can't do the same for A.
The MB3 menu show very few options and the icon is a drawing with 3grey tetris block on it.
How to replace it ?

See screenshot.

Thanks

The icon for the "...-WLD" part shows a component on top of a drawing sheet. This indicates that a drawing view was imported from this file, not that the file was added as a component (i.e. replace component won't work because it isn't a true component of the assembly). I'd suggest importing the view from the file that you need, recreate/reassociate the drafting objects as necessary, and delete the old -WLD view.

OK. I get it.
But it's the kind of work i'd like not to do.

I'll do a dummy clone assembly on the 12" to get it using the 24" part numbers and replace the file is the folder.
Yes that's cheating.

Thanks
