EDIT=>FEATURE=>REMOVE PARAMETERS

If you don't see that option in your "Edit" menu then you might need to select a more advanced role that shows full menus.

You can add this to your toolbar using the customize command so you don't need to dig through the menus for it.

If you need to find a command such as "remove parameters",
go into Help -> Command Finder and enter what you need to be found.
What you enter does not need to be the exact name of the command - you can even
enter the name of a command as it is in a differnt CAD system and it will find it.

@JohnBaker :

Well, why is there a history-free mode available? Sometimes you just want to get something down quick and you don't want or need all of the parametric overhead. I see 'Remove Parameters" as similar to mixing history based and history-free modeling in a single model.

I use remove parameters sometimes if I get a very poorly constructed model from a colleague and I don't want to spend the time to dig through it to figure out how it was built. Sometimes I'll get a model that has generation after generation of crap built up in it that nobody has ever gone back and cleaned up. If the only thing we need that model for is to document the current state of a one-of-a-kind tool, or some similar situation, I will just isolate all of the current geometry, remove parameters to make sure everything stays that way, and then delete everything else in the model. If we need parameters in the future we can add them thoughtfully using the synchronous modeling tools.

It isn't a feature I use everyday but it certainly has its moments.

@ Johnbaker
Dasalo is explained right,I have same problem with imported surfaces.I just extract remove parameter and work with it still keep the original surface as it is .This helps me(remove parameter)in some reverse engineering,and electrode making,and work with poor surface.

Good answers!

I was just checking to make sure that you weren't missing something and was perhaps attempting a more draconian solution than was absolutely necessary ;-)
