Problem describe:
I want to simulate a flexible fan with a constant rotating speed. The hub is rigid, while the fan blade should be flexible.
A time dependent pressure load is applied on the blades. The file generated by ABAQUS 6.13 is attached.

Things I have tried:
I have tried the rigid body motion constraint and the coupling constraints.
It seems that when I constrained all the faces with a reference point, the blades turns to rigid. Therefore, no displacements will be generated.
However, when I constrained only the hub with a reference point, the blade will not rotates with the hub, resulting with distorted elements error.

Does anyone have an idea have to set a rotating motion to a flexible body in dynamic analysis?

Please help me! I will be so appreciate for your help!

IS ANYONE KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT THIS? Really really need your help!

Just make the hub rigid and use Tie constraints to glue each fan at the hub.

PS: I've seen it is all one part. Then partition the part to get the fans as several cells. Then select just the hub cell as region for a rigid body. The Ties are not necessary, since the fans will share the same node with the hub when everything is one part.

Dear Mustaine3,

Thank you for reply. I tried the rigid body constraint it seems worked. Thank you so much.
