NX 8.5.3.3(64Bit)

Recentely, we have upgraded to NX8.5 from 7.5.
I had used Instance Feature in 7.5 but now can't.

I tried to search it with Command Finder and found it. Clicked it but no result.
(Modeling mode is History in Modeling Preferences)

How can I use it in NX8.5? What should I check?

Hi ,
You can use this environment variable for invoking the legacy INSTANCE FEATURE dialog in NX8.5/9/10
NX_SHOW_LEGACY_INSTANCE_FEATURE=1

Hi,

I tried to use Pattern Feature but it is not available like Instance Feature.
It can't be found in Menu and can not execute it in Command Finder.
The Command Finder said about Pattern Feature, "This command is available in the Ship Design application."
So I thought it is available only in the Ship Design Mode.

Is it also able to run in the Modeling mode?

When I used the Command Finder in NX 8.5 I had no problem finding the Pattern Feature MODELING function:

Thank you for your responds!

Please see my search result as below.

Could you let me know how can I fix this problem?
Is there a relevant environment variable?

My version of NX 8.5 is running out-of-the-box with no variables or options set.

Look at the image from my post and you will see the various ways to find Pattern Feature function. Are you saying that you can't find the function using those instructions (be sure to unset your Instance Feature environment variable first)?

I think command finder only shows you where to find a command in your current role. Try switching to a role with "full menus" and look for the pattern feature command. Save your role first if you want to switch back to it later.

Hi,
I have an observation regarding the ASSOCIATIVE COPY menu you have shown for Managed NX and Native NX....
Why does it show EXTRACT BODY (Managed NX) and EXTRACT GEOMETRY (Native NX).... i think in NX8.5 it should be EXTRACT GEOMETRY only and not EXTRACT BODY. Extract Body is a legacy utility.
Sorry i don't have NX8.5 with me so cannot test it.But please do check it with your peers if they are getting the same issue.

Hi~ cowski, I changed a role but Pattern Feature is not appeared.

kapil, my co-workers have the same problem as me.
As you said, there is something different between Managed mode and Native mode on our system.(EXTRACT BODY, COMPOSITE CURVE and ISOLATE OBJECT OF FEATURE...)

Please help me fix this problem.
