How to wrap a curve on cone and make sth like this

Hello

I`ve got a problem with wraping a curve on cone. I would like to make cone like in the picture and I`m wondering about the best way to do it. Wrap a curve on cone then sweep a circle along guide ( this wraped curve ) and then substract. Could anybody show me how to do it ?.

try creating a helix and projecting it onto the cone
 
You do know that you can define a helix with a variable radius that would match the surface of the cone don't you?

I`ve got another question, is it possible to make a "double helix/thread" which could be projected onto cone ?
 
Here is asimple model of a helix projected onto a cone, you could also add another helix with a differnt start angle to create your douple start. Please excuse the crude model it was done a long time ago.

I`m trying to model with JCBCad method but there are some problems. How to model it to be regular ( double "thread" ). I want to have two grooves which will be one on the end of guide. Can anybody show me the way to do it ?
 
I have attached yet another solution differing from the others based I what I think are improvements to the sweep and a simplification of the helix pointing out my earlier meaning.

Looking at earlier sweeps I thought that I would have gone to a little more trouble to define and control the section accurately. The only use I've ever had for such a thing was the threaded nut on the inside of a drill chuck. Somebody might relate to that. I used a similar method in an effort to reproduce an accurate thread form.

The other thing I'd mention is the absence of any projection which came about because I have used a helix with a simple linear radius law taking values from the sketch for the first revolve.

I hope that it is relatively easy to analyse the model and understand my method and the intention behind it.

If the grooves have a circular section then why not use a tube feature with zero internal radius and save yourself the trouble of dealing with controlling your sweep feature. In your example it looked to be a round section by the sweep had gone horribly wrong!
