Can anyone point me to a good spreadsheet (already checked steeltools) or fully worked example from which I can build an xls for a welded rectangular HSS-HSS moment connection per Ch K of AISC. The width of the beam and column are either matching or close in width (varies). This is a cantilever balcony HSS welded to an HSS column, without any diaphragm plates or reinforcement at the connection. I can't change these shapes, the choice of hss is not in my control, I'm only looking at verifying the connection.

Thanks Boiler, great tool. It's too bad it doesn't go through the k5 welds for non-uniformity but beggars can't be choosers.

STIs a good group to become a member. Cost is good, and they have some excellent webinars during the year as well as a wealth of HSS literature for design. Connex is free for the using and is pretty good. They also have some spreadsheets available.

yes, lots of information. Unfortunate abbreviation.

That abbreviation is the same they use for performance Subaru cars (Subaru Tecnica International). Also reminds me of Dick's Sporting Goods and BJ's.

You forgot the emoji...
