Good day,

I have environment test running at high temperature & high humidity 65degC/90%RH, apparently the chamber was trip and the test was stop with 3 hours to complete this 24 hours soaking test.

Base on engineering judgement, can the test continue the remaining 3 hours the next day to complete entire test profile? Is there any deviation on the test results collected?

Regards,
Alvin

Of course I can. I can do anything. I can do absolutely anything. I'm an expert!

The test chambers was trip due to power failures in the morning and where the test program was stop.
Whereas, the intention of this test is to expose the corrosion or other cosmetic defects if the product was kept in high temp and humid environment in long period.

Assuming that this test is comparable to the "conditioning" test specified for MIL-STD-810 Method 507.5. The intent of the that step is to ensure that all systems are initiated to the same conditions before the start of the aggravated humidity test. Based on that assumption, this "soak" cycle needs to be restarted from scratch.

Thanks for the good sharing, IRstuff. I read about the MIL-STD or other recognize standards sometime before on the soaking test requirements. If the test is interrupt more than specified time, the test must be repeat from the beginning.

Let me know if this is not a requirement for all humidity soaking test and there is a good reason for continue soaking even there is a interruption during testing. Also for temperature soaking as well.

Cheers
