My wife has brothers and sisters who live just a mile or 2 above Lake Guajataca. I've been fishing on the lake with them. We haven't heard from any of them, yet. I'd like to think the dam is working the way it's supposed to in an emergency. It seems like the erosion is far enough downstream not to undermine the dam. What a tragedy.
