What is the difference between Admiralty and Brass (HX Tube materials) ? Chemistry? Mechanical properties? When do you chose one over the other? What is the significance of Admiralty as name of a material?

Admiralty Brass or naval Brass definition:

"alpha-beta brass containing tin; resistant to sea water"

Used in ships a lot hence the nick name.

For typical tube properties look at ASTM B135
